- My ISP recently upgraded from 14.4 (unknown brand) to 28.8 Racal Datacom
- modems.
-
- When I download a 1,512K zip file through my ISP, I get an average
- transfer rate of 1.2K/second. I have downloaded this file several times,
- both at peak (evening) hours and off-peak (early morning hours).
-
- From previous discussions in this group, I believe my CPS rate should be
- significantly higher.
-
- The download progress, as reported by Netscape 1.22, moves along good, in
- 2K and 3K blocks for a while, stops completely for several seconds, then
- resumes. This pattern continues for the entire download.
-
- Invalid CRC's average 2, Overrun Errors are always 0. However, ATI6
- always shows anywhere from 12 to 17 Link Naks.
-
- What caused Link Naks? Could the Link Naks be causing the poor
- performance, and if so, what can be done to alleviate them?
-
- My internal Sportster's EPROM date is 10/13/95.
-
- TIA,
- Bob
